What is the JAIIB Eligibility Criteria 2025?

 

According to the official JAIIB 2025 notification, candidates must be ordinary members of the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF). An ordinary member is someone working in a bank or financial services organization whose employer is a member of IIBF. Both clerical and supervisory staff who have completed the 12th standard are eligible to apply for the JAIIB exam. In special cases, candidates who have not completed the 12th standard may also be allowed to appear, provided they have a recommendation from their bank's Branch Manager or Officer-in-Charge.

To be eligible for the JAIIB exam, candidates must meet the following criteria:

There is no upper age limit prescribed for appearing in the JAIIB examination. As long as candidates meet the eligibility criteria set by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance primarily being an existing member of the Institute, they are eligible to apply, regardless of their age.

JAIIB Nationality Criteria

 

Only Indian nationals are eligible to register and appear for the JAIIB Exam. All applicants must submit valid identity proof during the registration process to successfully complete their application. Any one of the following documents is accepted as valid identity proof:

How Many Attempts are Allowed for the JAIIB Exam 2025?

 

Candidates can attempt the JAIIB exam a maximum of five times or within three years from the date of registration, whichever comes first. The attempt count starts from the day of registration and does not need to be consecutive.

Each application counts as an attempt, even if the candidate does not take the exam. If a candidate does not pass within three years or uses all five attempts, they must register again, and any previously cleared subjects will not carry forward.

During this period, candidates can choose any five exams out of the six available. If all five attempts are used or three years pass, fresh registration is required to continue.
