RBI Grade B Eligibility 2025, Check Grade B Eligibility Criteria In Detail

RBI Grade B Eligibility 2025: The minimum RBI Grade B age limit to apply is 21 years whereas the maximum age limit is 30 years as on the reference date which is yet to be released. To apply online for RBI Grade B posts, one must possess a bachelor's degree from a UGC recognized institute. Candidates should ensure that they meet all the eligibility mentioned in the notification.

The educational criteria require either a Graduation in any discipline or an equivalent technical/professional qualification with a minimum of 60% marks (50% for SC/ST/PwBD applicants), or a Post-Graduation/equivalent technical qualification with at least 55% marks (pass marks for SC/ST/PwBD applicants) in the aggregate of all semesters/years. Educational Qualification is one of the most important parameters of RBI Grade B Eligibility. The minimum educational qualifications required for the RBI Grade B 2025 examination are as follows:

RBI Grade B Important Considerations

 

While you analyze your RBI Grade B Exam Eligibility, keep in mind the following points:

  • You should have a degree from any of the Universities incorporated by an Act of the Central or State Legislature in India
  • Alternatively, the degree should belong to an educational institution set up by an Act of Parliament or declared to be Deemed as a University under Section-3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
  • Women who have changed their name or surname after marriage need a valid Gazette Notification, marriage certificate, or affidavit. They should have their original and photocopy.
  • SC/ST/OBC/PwBD/EWS/Ex-servicemen category candidates must have the required certificates in the prescribed format to avail of reservation or relaxation.
  • You can benefit from age relaxation if you have working experience as an officer in a Commercial Bank or RBI in the Public Sector with an upper cap of three years.
  • Widows do not have a provision of age relaxation.

RBI Grade B Age Limit

 

The RBI Grade B Age Limit must be between 21 and 30 years. There is a reference date for the calculation of the age limit which has not been notified yet. The reference date will be updated here once out. Certain age relaxations are provided to candidates belonging to specific categories. Also note that it is expected that the candidate must have been born not earlier than 2nd July, 1995 and not later than 1st July, 2004.

RBI Grade B Age Relaxation for Bank Employees

 

As per the RBI Grade B Age Eligibility criteria, candidates with prior work experience can also receive relaxation in the upper age limit. Those who have worked as officers in Commercial Banks, Financial Institutions, or RBI in the public sector are eligible for an age relaxation of up to 3 years. However, it's important to note that this relaxation is capped at 3 years, regardless of the total years of experience. For example, even if a candidate has 10 years of experience in a bank, they will not receive 10 years of age relaxation.

 

RBI Grade B Experience Required

RBI Grade B Nationality

 

To fulfill the nationality needs, candidates must be either of the following:

  1. A citizen of India
  2. A subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  3. A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  4. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and the East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

 

RBI Grade B Attempts

 

The maximum RBI Grade B attempts is six for candidates belonging to the General category. However, for candidates belonging to SC/ST/OBC/PWD categories, there is no limit on the RBI Grade B attempts.
