RRB Group D Exam Pattern, CBT Topics

The RRB Group D Exam Pattern consists of four sections - General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and Current Affairs. The total duration of the Group D examination is 90 minutes. The board has already released the notification for 32,438 vacancies in 2025. Aspiring candidates can expect the exam dates to be released in July/August 2025. The computer-based test is the first stage in the selection process of the RRB Group D Recruitment. The further RRB Group D selection process includes:

  • Computer Based Test (CBT)
  • Physical Efficiency Test
  • Document Verification
  • Medical Examination

The RRB Group D exam pattern consists of four subjects - General Science, Mathematics, General Intelligence & Reasoning, General Awareness, and Current Affairs. The details of the RRB Group D exam pattern are given below:

RRB Group D PET Pattern

 

Candidates who qualify for the CBT examination will be shortlisted for the Physical Efficiency Test. The details of the RRB Group D PET are given below:

RRB Group D Documents Required

 

Some of the important documents required to be submitted to the board are as follows:

  • SCVT/NCVT Certificate
  • Aadhar Card (Photocopy)
  • Family Income Certificate
  • OBC-NCL Certificate
  • Transgender Certification (if applicable)
  • Class 10th Certificate
  • Non-Creamy Layer Declaration
  • PwD Medical Certificate
  • J&K Domicile Certificate (if applicable)

 

RRB Group D Medical Requirements

 

Candidates will also be evaluated through a medical test. Given below are the details of RRB Group D medical requirements from candidates:

Pointsman (A-2)

Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 without glasses (no fogging test). 

Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 without glasses and must pass tests for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, etc.

Assistant Track Machine (A-3)

Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/9 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 2D). 

Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses and must pass tests for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, etc.

Assistant TL and AC (B-1)

Distant Vision: 6/9, 6/12 with or without glasses (power of lenses not to exceed 4D). 

Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required and must pass tests for colour vision, binocular vision, night vision, mesopic vision, etc.

Assistant – Workshop (C-1)

Distant Vision: 6/12, 6/18 with or without glasses. 

Near Vision: Sn. 0.6, 0.6 with or without glasses when reading or close work is required.
