RRB Paramedical Selection Process

The RRB Paramedical selection process involves three major stages. The stages and their details are given below:

Computer-Based Test: Candidates will evaluated based on their knowledge in subjects like Professional Ability, General Awareness, General Intelligence/Arithmetic and Reasoning, and General Science.
Document Verification: After candidates qualify for the CBT test, the board will examine the authenticity of his/her documents.
Medical Test: The medical test is the final stage in the RRB Paramedical Selection Process. The board tests a candidate’s physical and medical fitness required for the particular post.

RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2025 Exam Pattern

There will be only one CBT exam in the RRB Paramedical Recruitment 2025 Exam, which will be the initial stage. Check out the exam pattern for the RRB Paramedical CBT Exam 2025.

Exam Duration: General candidates will have 90 minutes for the CBT. Candidates with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) using a Scribe will get 120 minutes.
Question Format: The test will have 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQs), each with four options. Candidates must choose the correct answer.
Subjects Covered: The exam will include questions on Professional Ability (related to the paramedical post), General Awareness, Arithmetic, General Intelligence & Reasoning, and General Science.
Marking Scheme: A penalty of 1/3rd of the marks assigned to a question will be deducted for each incorrect answer.

RRB Paramedical 2025 Syllabus

The RRB Paramedical Staff Syllabus is designed to evaluate candidates’ knowledge and skills required for various paramedical posts in the Indian Railways. The syllabus primarily includes topics related to General Awareness, General Science, Professional Ability, General Arithmetic, and General Intelligence & Reasoning.

Professional Ability: This section focuses on job-specific knowledge, covering key concepts and practical understanding needed for different paramedical roles such as Lab Assistant, Pharmacist, Staff Nurse, and Health & Malaria Inspector, among others.
General Awareness: This section tests knowledge of current events, India and World geography, Indian history and culture, environmental issues, economics, and general policies related to health and railways.
General Science: Candidates should be familiar with fundamental topics in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology relevant to the 10+2 standard, ensuring they understand basic scientific principles and their applications.
Arithmetic: This section includes questions on basic mathematics, such as number systems, percentages, ratios, averages, simple and compound interest, profit and loss, time and work, and age calculations.
General Intelligence & Reasoning: This part tests logical abilities with questions on analogies, coding and decoding, syllogisms, spatial orientation, decision-making, and problem-solving.
