SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Analysis – 18th November 2020

Today is the last day of the SSC CGL Tier II examination and is been conducted in various parts of the country. The exam series started on 15th November 2020 and will continue till November 18, 2020. In this article, we’ll be going through the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Analysis dated 15th 16th,17th  and 18th November 2020 in detail. We’ll be analysing both the slots (Quantitative Aptitude and English Language) along with their difficulty level. This analysis is very helpful for the aspirants appearing for the exams in the upcoming days of SSC CGL Tier 2.

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Analysis – 18th November 2020

SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam Analysis – Quantitative Aptitude

  • The overall difficulty level: Easy to Moderate
  • Total Questions – 100
  • Total Marks – 200
  • The Exam duration for SSC CGL Tier-2 2019 Quantitative Abilities Paper-1 –  2 Hours
  • Negative marking – 0.50 marks for wrong answers

A larger section of this paper was moderate. A smart choice would have been to go for easy questions initially and then the moderates ones. There were 2 DI in this paper with 2 set of questions. The pape was a bit calculatie. Once again percentage, average and number system constituted a higher share of questions. Aspirants found this the easiest of all three days and 95 attempts will be ideal.

  • Total Questions – 100
  • Total Marks – 200
  • The Exam duration for SSC CGL Tier-2 2019 Quantitative Abilities Paper-1 –  2 Hours
  • Negative marking – 0.50 marks for wrong answers

A larger section of this paper was moderate. A smart choice would have been to go for easy questions initially and then the moderates ones. The DI was less in this paper with only one set of questions. Algebra section features some of the most common quadratic and higher power equations. Once again percentage, average and number system constituted a higher share of questions.

The DI questions were based on Bar graph and Pie Chart. Pie Chart questions calculations were were tricky because of decimal values. Trigonometry questions were easy and could easily be solved by value putting. Lets have a look at the no. of questions asked for each topic.

  • Negative marking – 0.50 marks for wrong answers

The overall difficulty level of Paper-I of SSC CGL Tier-II 2019 was similar to 2018 paper and more of a mix of Arithmetic and Advanced Mathematics.

There were 3 Data Interpretation sets based on Bar Graph and Pie Chart. Questions from Arithmetic were basically based on Algebra, Partnerships, Percentage, SI/CI,  Profit, Loss & Discount, Time, Speed & Distance, Time & Work etc. and the paper was calculative. A smart approach to the paper may result in a good attempt of nearly 75-80 questions.

The Exam duration for SSC CGL Tier-2 2019 English Language Paper-1 –  2 Hours
Negative marking – 0.25 marks for wrong answers

As per our analysis, questions in English Language were again based on SSC CGL Tier 2 exam paper of 2018. Aspirants termed this paper easy. Reading comprehension consisted of 2 short passages (5 questions each) and 1 long passage with 10 questions. Cloze test was based on 3 passages and 15 questions were formed out of them. Additionally, a major portion of the paper was based on Direct/Indirect Tenses and Active/Passive voices, with a combined total of 50 questions. Close to 40 questions were asked from Error Spotting and Sentence improvement as well.
