SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria 2024

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria: Age Limit As On 1/8/2024

Every candidate who is going to Apply Online for the SSC CHSL Examination 2024 has to fulfill the following age criteria. The important date for determining age is set as 1st August 2024. 

The minimum and maximum age requirements are as follows:

  • Minimum Age – 18 years.
  • Maximum Age – 27 years.

This means candidates must have been born between 2nd August 1997, and 1st August 2006, to be eligible to apply. However, age relaxation is given to the candidates belonging to the reserved categories.

Candidates should be aware that the SSC will only accept the Date of Birth as it appears on the Matriculation/Secondary Examination Certificate or an equivalent certificate that is available on the date of submission.

SSC CHSL Post Wise Age Limit 2024

The Staff Selection Commission has established specific age requirements for candidates applying for various positions through the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination in 2024. SSC CHSL Age Limit for General Category

SSC CHSL Age Limit for OBC Category

For OBC candidates applying for SSC CHSL in 2024, the age limit is from 18 to 30 years. This is because OBC applicants are allowed an additional 3 years beyond the regular upper age limit of 27 years.

SSC CHSL Age Limit for SC Category

SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria: Nationality

To be eligible for the SSC CHSL exam, candidates need to meet certain nationality requirements and have proof of it. Candidates must belong to one of the following nationalities:

A candidate can be either:

  • a citizen of India, or
  • a subject of Nepal, or
  • a subject of Bhutan, or
  • a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st of January,1962, to get permanently settled in India, or
  • a person of Indian origin who has migrated from  Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, the United Republic of Tanzania, Uganda, Zaire, Ethiopia, Zambia, Malawi, and Vietnam intending to settle permanently in India.

SSC CHSL Eligibility: Educational Qualifications 2024 As On 1/8/2024

The minimum education qualification required to apply for the exam is another important parameter listed under the SSC CHSL eligibility. Aspirants must have passed the 12th Standard Exam or an intermediate exam from a recognized Board or University to sit for the exam.
