SSC CHSL Important Instructions

 

For SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam 2026, candidates need to be well-prepared and informed about the examination process. This includes understanding the necessary documents, adhering to the reporting times, and knowing what is allowed and prohibited in the exam hall.

A. Aadhaar-authenticated candidates

 

Candidates who successfully completed Aadhaar-based authentication should carry their SSC CHSL Admission Certificate and follow the examination-day instructions mentioned on the Admission Certificate and issued by SSC.

B. Candidates who could not undergo Aadhaar Based Authentication

 

Mention that such candidates must:

  • report 2 hours before the scheduled examination;
  • carry at least two recent passport-size colour photographs;
  • carry an original valid photo identity document mentioning Date of Birth;
  • carry additional original DOB proof if DOB is not printed on the photo ID.
  • Admit Card: Must bring your SSC CHSL Tier 2 Admit Card 2026.
  • Timings: Arrive at the exam center by the report time on your admit card. Verify your shift timing and reporting time as provided above.

The SSC CHSL Exam Pattern consists of 100 questions for 200 marks. A major change in 2026 is the introduction of a 15-minute sectional timer for each subject.

What is SSC CHSL Tier 2 Exam Pattern?

 

The SSC CHSL Tier II examination is conducted in two sessions. Session I covers Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning and General Intelligence, English Language and Comprehension, General Awareness, and Computer Knowledge. Session II consists of the Skill Test/Typing Test. Part A is the Skill Test for DEOs in the ministries/departments specified by SSC, Part B is the Skill Test for other DEO posts, and Part C is the Typing Test for LDC/JSA posts. The DEO Skill Test is conducted for 15 minutes, while the Typing Test for LDC/JSA is conducted for 10 minutes.
