Applying for IBPS PO 2026 is online only. IBPS does not accept any other mode of application. Keep your scanned photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and 10th standard certificate ready before you start, as the system requires these to be uploaded in the prescribed format.
- Visit the official website www.ibps.in and click on the "CRP PO/MT" link, then select "Click here to Apply Online for CRP-PO/MT-XVI."
- Click "New Registration" and fill in your basic details to generate a provisional registration number and password (also sent via email/SMS).
- Upload your photograph, signature, left thumb impression, handwritten declaration, and SSC/10th certificate as per the prescribed specifications.
- Fill in the application form carefully using the "Save and Next" option, and verify every field before clicking "Complete Registration." No changes are allowed after this step (apart from the limited edit window).

IBPS PO Selection Process 2026
The IBPS PO 2026 selection process now has five stages, with a new personality test added between the mains exam and the interview.
- Stage 1 – Online Preliminary Exam: Qualifying in nature; candidates must clear the cut-off in all three sections to move ahead.
- Stage 2 – Online Main Exam: Marks scored here count directly towards the final merit list.
- Stage 3 – Personality Test (New): A self-report-based test that is non-qualifying, but appearing in it is mandatory to be eligible for the interview. The personality profile is shared with the interview panel.
- Stage 4 – Common Interview: Conducted by participating banks and coordinated by the Nodal Bank. Total marks: 100; minimum qualifying marks are 40% (35% for SC/ST/OBC/PwBD candidates).
- Stage 5 – Provisional Allotment: Final merit is calculated using 80% weightage to Mains marks and 20% weightage to Interview marks. Shortlisted candidates are then allotted to one of the participating banks based on merit-cum-preference.
