Educational Qualification (as of 21/08/2024)
To be eligible for the IBPS PO 2024 exam, candidates must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a university recognized by the Government of India. Those with an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government are also eligible. It is essential that candidates have a valid mark sheet or degree certificate confirming their graduation status by the time of registration. The percentage of marks obtained during graduation must be mentioned while registering for the IBPS PO exam.
Computer Literacy
Candidates must possess working knowledge of computer systems as the IBPS PO exam is conducted online, and this knowledge is also essential for performing the job duties.
Nationality/Citizenship
Applicants must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India.
- A subject of Nepal or Bhutan.
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanent settlement.
- A person of Indian origin (PIO) who has migrated from countries like Burma, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, or East African countries with the intention of permanent settlement in India.
Candidates from categories 2, 3, and 4 must have an eligibility certificate issued by the Government of India.

IBPS PO Selection Process 2024
Candidates for IBPS PO 2024 will be selected based on their performance across three stages:
- Prelims Exam: This is the initial qualifying stage where candidates must meet the sectional and overall cut-off to advance.
- Mains Exam: In this stage, candidates must score above the minimum cut-off marks to qualify for the interview.
- Interview: The final stage, where candidates’ overall performance is assessed to determine their eligibility for selection.

Final Score Calculation for IBPS PO Exam
The final score for the IBPS PO exam is determined based on the following considerations:
• Scores from the Preliminary Exam (Tier-1) are not included in the final score; they are solely for qualifying to the Mains Exam (Tier-2).
• Candidates must pass both Phase-2 (Mains) and the Interview independently to be considered for the final merit.
• The Main exam and the interview carry a weightage of 80% and 20% respectively in the final merit list.
• The overall score out of 100 is used to compile the final merit list for each category, with the highest-ranked candidates in each category being selected.
