JAIIB Revised Syllabus : JAIIB Exam dates for JAIIB November cycles are out and the registration for the November cycle has been already started on the official website of IIBF. November cycle registration begins 1st September 2022. The exam is scheduled on 12th November 2022. The IIBF has issued a notification regarding updated syllabus and paper for both JAIIB and CAIIB which will be effective from 2023. Check the more details here.

JAIIB Revised Syllabus 2022-23
To quote according to the notification, The Banking and Finance domains have undergone sea changes in the last decade. The technological advances, alternate banking channels, increased regulatory prescriptions and the increasing competition have resulted in a paradigm shift in banking. Against this backdrop, a need was felt to expand the focus from basic knowledge gathering to developing and enhancing concept-based skills. To keep pace with the developments and to ensure greater value addition to the flagship courses offered by IIBF, the syllabi of JAIIB have been restructured to make them more conceptual and contemporary. Along with JAIIB, revised syllabi has been introduced to DB&F/SOB/CAIIB exams.

Subjects and Compulsory Paper JAIIB
The subjects for JAIIB under the revised syllabi will be as under:

According to the old syllabi of JAIIB, the JAIIB has 3 compulsory paper namely
- Principles & Practices of Banking
- Accounting & Finance for Bankers
- Legal & Regulatory Aspects of Banking
But in the new JAIIB revised syllabi, two more papers are added. syllabus or topics of these two papers are yet to be released. The existing Accounting and finance for bankers has been changed to accounting and financial management. And legal and regulatory aspects of banking appears to be replaced in some other papers. The Indian economy and Indian financial system has been created into a new paper. Indian Financial System was earlier a part of Principles and Practices of Banking paper. Retail Banking & Wealth management is the new paper added to the JAIIB exam.

Implementing the revised JAIIB syllabus
The JAIIB examinations under the revised syllabi are tentatively proposed to be held from November/December 2022 onwards or latest from the May / June 2023 onwards, in any case. The last exams under JAIIB as per the old syllabi (present syllabi) will be held during November/December 2022 after which, it will be discontinued. JAIIB exams from May / June 2023 onwards will be held as per the revised syllabi only. All the members/candidates are requested to kindly take note of the above important notification and plan accordingly.

- JAIIB revised syllabi will be implemented from 2023

JAIIB Exam Type
- It is an objective type examination.
- Each paper has 120 questions.
- The total marks of each paper are 100.
- The time limit of the examination is 120 minutes
