SBI Clerk Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
The Language Proficiency Test (LPT) is conducted for candidates who qualify for the Mains Examination. It ensures candidates are proficient in the official language of the state/UT for which they have applied.
- Candidates must be proficient in reading, writing, and speaking the official/local language of the respective state/UT.
- The test may include writing passages, reading comprehension, and verbal communication assessment.
- Candidates who fail the LPT will be disqualified, even after clearing the Mains Exam.
- Exemption: Candidates who studied the local language in their 10th or 12th standard are usually exempted from LPT.
