The SBI Clerk Apply Online 2026 process has started with the release of the SBI Junior Associate (Customer Support & Sales) Recruitment 2026 notification. The State Bank of India has invited eligible candidates to apply online for the Junior Associate post in the clerical cadre. The online registration process will remain open from 11 August to 31 August 2026. Candidates can apply for vacancies in one State/UT only and can appear for the examination only once under this recruitment. The SBI Clerk Preliminary Exam is tentatively scheduled for September 2026, while the Main Exam is expected to be held in November 2026.

Who can apply for SBI Clerk 2026?

Candidates who meet the eligibility conditions mentioned in the official notification can apply for SBI Clerk 2026. The main eligibility requirements are:

• Candidates must be 20 to 28 years old as of 1 April 2026.
• The candidate must have been born between 2 April 1998 and 1 April 2006, both dates inclusive.
• Candidates must have a graduate degree in any discipline from a recognized university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the central government.
• Final-year/final-semester graduation students can apply provisionally, provided they obtain proof of passing their graduation examination by 31 December 2026.
• Candidates must meet the specified local language requirement for the State/UT they choose.
• A candidate can apply for vacancies in one state/UT only.

Candidates can follow these steps to complete the SBI Clerk application form:

What is the SBI Clerk Application Fee 2026?

The SBI Clerk application fee is ₹750 for General, OBC and EWS candidates. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwBD, XS and DXS categories do not have to pay the application fee. The fee and intimation charges are non-refundable.

What is the SBI Clerk Handwritten Declaration Format 2026?

Candidates must write the handwritten declaration themselves and upload its scanned copy while filling out the application form. The declaration given in the official notification is:

"I,______(Name of the candidate), Date of Birth ______hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true and valid. I will present the supporting documents as and when required. The signature, photograph and left thumb impression is of mine".

The declaration must be handwritten by the candidate. Candidates should also ensure that the photograph, signature, thumb impression and declaration are clear, as unclear uploads may lead to rejection of the application.

SBI Clerk Vacancy 2026

SBI has announced 7,680 regular vacancies and 1,444 backlog vacancies for junior associates. The vacancies are distributed State/UT-wise and category-wise. Candidates can apply for vacancies in only one State/UT, and the merit list will also be prepared State-wise and category-wise. The vacancies are provisional and may vary depending on the actual requirement of the Bank.
