Candidates applying for the SBI Clerk 2026 Exam must have a graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification recognized by the Central Government. Candidates having an Integrated Dual Degree (IDD) certificate must ensure that the date of passing is on or before 31 December 2026. Candidates who are in the final year/semester of graduation can also apply provisionally. However, if selected, they must produce proof of passing the graduation examination on or before 31 December 2026.

What is the SBI Clerk Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)?

SBI Clerk Apprentice Bonus Marks 2026
A new important provision in the latest notification is the bonus marks for eligible trained SBI apprentices. Trained SBI apprentices who meet the prescribed conditions can receive 5 bonus marks out of 200 marks in the Main Examination. The benefit is available to apprentices whose engagement started on or after 1 January 2022, who have successfully completed the required one-year branch experience in SBI on or before 31 August 2026, and who meet the other conditions specified by SBI. The bonus marks will be added to the aggregate score of the Main Examination for preparing the final merit list.
