SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2026

 

The SBI Clerk Exam Pattern 2026 consists of three stages: Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Language Proficiency Test (LPT). Candidates must qualify each stage to be considered for final appointment as a Junior Associate. The preliminary examination is qualifying in nature, while the marks obtained in the mains examination are considered for preparing the final merit list. Candidates who do not provide proof of proficiency in the local language are required to appear for the Language Proficiency Test.

  • The Preliminary Exam is qualifying in nature.
  • Only candidates qualifying the Prelims are shortlisted for the Mains Exam.
  • The final merit list is prepared based only on marks obtained in the Mains Examination.
  • Candidates must qualify the Language Proficiency Test (where applicable).

The Preliminary Examination is the first stage of the SBI Clerk recruitment process. It is conducted online and consists of objective-type questions from three sections. Candidates are given sectional timing, and each section must be attempted within the allotted time.
