The SBI PO Main Examination is conducted online and consists of:

  1. Objective Test for 200 marks.
  2. Descriptive Test for 50 marks (administered immediately after the Objective Test).

Penalty for Wrong Answers in SBI PO Online Exam

Applicable to both Preliminary and Main Examinations:

  • A penalty will be imposed for incorrect answers marked in the Objective Tests.
  • For each incorrect response, 1/4th of the marks assigned to that question will be deducted as a penalty to calculate the corrected score.
  • If a question is left blank (i.e., no answer is marked by the candidate), no penalty will be applied for that question.

SBI PO Final Selection Process

  • Candidates must qualify Phase-II (Main Examination) and Phase-III (Group Exercise & Interview) separately to be considered for final selection.
  • The marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination (Phase-I) will not be included in the final merit list.
  • The final merit list is prepared by adding the marks obtained in Phase-II (Objective & Descriptive Tests) and Phase-III, normalized to a total of 100 marks.
