SSC CHSL Eligibility Criteria

 

According to last year's SSC CHSL Notification, candidates had to fulfill the following SSC CHSL Eligibility criteria as of August 2025 (based on last year's notification).

SSC CHSL Nationality

 

To be considered eligible for the SSC CHSL Exam, candidates must meet specific criteria outlined by the government. The eligibility requirements are as follows:

  1. Indian Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
  2. Nepalese Citizenship: Citizens of Nepal are eligible.
  3. Bhutanese Citizenship: Citizens of Bhutan qualify.
  4. Tibetan Refugees: Refugees arriving before 1st January 1962 for permanent settlement.
  5. Persons of Indian Origin: Migrants from countries like Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, and East African nations for permanent settlement in India.

SSC CHSL Age limit

 

Every candidate who is going to Apply Online for the SSC CHSL Examination 2025 has to fulfill the following age criteria. The age requirement for the positions is between 18 and 27 years old. This means candidates must have been born between 2nd August 1997, and 1st August 2006, to be eligible to apply (dates as per last year notification).

SSC CHSL Essential Educational Qualifications

 

The SSC CHSL Exam is conducted by the Staff Selection Commission (SSC) to recruit candidates for posts like LDC, JSA, and DEO in various government departments. To be eligible, candidates must have the following eligibility criteria:

The SSC CHSL Apply Online form link will be activated on 27th May 2025 after the release of the SSC CHSL 2025 Online Application Form on the official website. Interested candidates will be able to apply online until 25th June 2025. Candidates can apply for the SSC CHSL exam by following the steps below:

  1. Visit the SSC Website: Go to the official website.
  2. Go to the Application Section: Click on the "Apply" tab.
  3. Select Exam: Choose the "Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL)" exam.
  4. Register: Fill in your details to get a registration number and password.
  5. Enter Personal & Education Details: Add your personal and educational information.
  6. Upload Photo & Signature: Upload your photo and signature. A live photo using a webcam, laptop, or mobile camera is required.
  7. Choose Exam Centers: Select three exam centers within the same region.
  8. Review Details: Check all details carefully before submitting.
  9. Submit Form: Submit the application (no changes can be made after this).

SSC CHSL Selection Process 2025

 

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) examination to recruit candidates for positions in various government departments and ministries. The selection process for the SSC CHSL 2025 consists of two main stages: Tier I and Tier II.
