What is SSC CHSL Salary after 5 Years?

 

SSC CHSL salary grows through annual increments in the Pay Matrix, changes in applicable allowances and promotions, where applicable. It is not accurate to assume that the current DA rate will remain unchanged for the next five years. If an employee receives one normal annual increment each year and remains in the same pay level, the illustrative Basic Pay progression under the 7th CPC Pay Matrix would be:

What is the SSC CHSL Salary Increment 2026?

 

SSC CHSL employees receive salary progression through the applicable annual increment in the Pay Matrix and revisions in allowances announced by the Government. Dearness Allowance is revised periodically by the Government based on the applicable formula. The percentage increase is not fixed in advance. For example, the latest DA revision increased the rate from 58% to 60% with effect from 1st January 2026, but this should not be interpreted as a fixed 2% increase every six months.

What is the perks and benefits in SSC CHSL 2026 Salary?

 

SSC CHSL employees receive applicable allowances and service benefits according to Central Government rules.

  1. Dearness Allowance (DA): Currently 60% of Basic Pay with effect from 1st January 2026. 
  2. House Rent Allowance (HRA): Generally 30%, 20% or 10% of Basic Pay for X, Y and Z classified locations respectively, subject to applicable rules. The higher rates became applicable once DA crossed the prescribed threshold. 
  3. Transport Allowance (TA): Depends on pay level and posting location. DA is also admissible on the prescribed TA amount. 
  4. Retirement Benefits: Governed by the applicable Central Government retirement scheme and service rules.
  5. CGHS: Eligible employees can receive medical benefits under the Central Government Health Scheme where applicable.
