IBPS RRB GBO Eligibility 2026, Age Limit, Qualification, Nationality

The IBPS RRB GBO 2026 notification has been released under CRP RRBs XV for the recruitment of Officer Scale-II General Banking Officers (Manager) in Regional Rural Banks. The recruitment includes 666 indicative vacancies for the GBO post. Eligible candidates can apply online from 1 September to 21 September 2026. Candidates applying for IBPS RRB GBO 2026 must be above 21 years and below 32 years of age as on 1 September 2026. They must hold a bachelor's degree in any discipline with at least 50% marks in aggregate and have a minimum of 2 years of experience as an officer in a Bank or Financial Institution. IBPS RRB GBO Nationality


Candidates applying for IBPS RRB GBO 2026 must fulfil the nationality or citizenship conditions specified in the notification. A candidate must be one of the following:

  • A Citizen of India.
  • A subject of Nepal.
  • A subject of Bhutan.
  • A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • A Person of Indian Origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia or Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

IBPS RRB GBO Age Limit

 

The IBPS RRB GBO age limit 2026 is prescribed as on 1 September 2026. Candidates applying for Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer must be above 21 years and below 32 years of age.

  • Minimum age: Above 21 years
  • Maximum age: Below 32 years
  • Date of birth: Candidates should not have been born earlier than 02.09.1994 or later than 01.09.2005, both dates inclusive.
  • The maximum age limit applies to General and EWS candidates.
  • Candidates belonging to eligible reserved and special categories can claim age relaxation as per the notification.

IBPS RRB GBO Credit Score

 

The provided CRP RRBs XV notification does not specify a minimum CIBIL or credit score requirement for applying to Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer. Therefore, the earlier information stating that candidates must maintain a particular "healthy credit history" or that a specific credit score will be decided by the allotted RRB should not be included as an IBPS RRB GBO 2026 eligibility criterion unless supported by a separate official RRB document.
