IBPS RRB GBO Eligibility Criteria
Candidates applying for Officer Scale-II General Banking Officer must fulfil the prescribed nationality, age, educational qualification and work experience requirements as on the dates specified in the notification. The educational qualification and experience requirements are considered as on 21 September 2026, the last date of online registration.
IBPS RRB GBO Nationality Criteria
A candidate must be one of the following:
- A citizen of India
- A subject of Nepal
- A subject of Bhutan
- A Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1 January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
- A person of Indian origin who has migrated from specified countries with the intention of permanently settling in India, provided the required Government of India certificate of eligibility is issued

IBPS RRB GBO Age Limit 2026
The age limit for Officer Scale-II (Manager) is above 21 years and below 32 years as on 1 September 2026. Candidates should not have been born earlier than 2 September 1994 and later than 1 September 2005, both dates inclusive.

The IBPS RRB GBO Scale-II exam is a single-level objective online examination. It consists of 200 questions carrying 200 marks, with a total duration of 120 minutes. Candidates can choose either the English Language or Hindi Language section.

IBPS RRB GBO Exam Medium 2026
For the Scale-II GBO Single Online Examination, the Reasoning, Computer Knowledge, Financial Awareness and Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation sections are available in Hindi and English. Candidates can choose either English or Hindi for the language section.
IBPS RRB GBO Negative Marking 2026
There is a penalty for wrong answers in the IBPS RRB GBO online examination. Candidates should therefore attempt questions carefully and avoid random guessing. The detailed penalty provisions are specified separately in the notification under the section on penalty for wrong answers.
