IBPS RRB GBO Exam Pattern 2026, Scale 2 RRB Officer Exam Structure

The IBPS RRB GBO Notification 2026 has been released for the recruitment of Officer Scale-II General Banking Officers (GBO). The selection process for the Scale-II GBO post consists of a Single Online Examination followed by a Common Interview for shortlisted candidates. There is no Preliminary or Main Examination for Officer Scale-II GBO. The Single Online Examination consists of 200 objective-type questions for 200 marks, with a total duration of 120 minutes. IBPS RRB GBO Selection Process 2026

 

The IBPS RRB GBO recruitment comprises a Single Online Examination and Common Interview. Candidates must secure the minimum required scores in each test of the Single Online Examination to be considered for the interview. Depending on the number of vacancies, candidates up to three times the declared vacancies in each category may be shortlisted for the interview, subject to availability. The final merit for Officer Scale-II GBO is based on the marks obtained in the Single Online Examination and the subsequent interview. The shortlisted candidates are provisionally allotted to one of the participating RRBs based on merit, candidate preference, reservation guidelines, and other applicable factors..

 

IBPS RRB GBO Exam Pattern 2026

 

The IBPS RRB GBO Exam Pattern 2026 consists of a Single Online Examination for Officer Scale-II General Banking Officers. The examination has five tests, with candidates required to choose either the English Language or Hindi Language section. The total exam consists of 200 questions carrying 200 marks, and candidates get 120 minutes to complete the examination.

  • The Reasoning section has 40 questions for 50 marks.
  • Computer Knowledge has 40 questions for 20 marks.
  • Financial Awareness has 40 questions for 40 marks.
  • Candidates can choose either English Language or Hindi Language, with 40 questions for 40 marks.
  • Quantitative Aptitude & Data Interpretation has 40 questions for 50 marks.
  • The total duration of the examination is 120 minutes.
  • For every wrong answer, one-fourth (0.25) of the marks assigned to that question is deducted. There is no penalty for unanswered questions.
