Indian Overseas Bank LBO Eligibility Criteria for Age

 

The age eligibility for applying for the IOB LBO 2025 post is as follows:

  • Minimum Age: 20 years
  • Maximum Age: 30 years

Age Calculation Date:

 

The cut-off date for age calculation is 1st May 2025. Candidates must have been born between 02 May 1995 and 01 May 2005 (both dates inclusive).

Age Relaxation:

 

  • SC/ST Candidates: 5 years relaxation
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer) Candidates: 3 years relaxation
  • Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD): 10 years relaxation
  • Persons affected by the 1984 riots: 5 years relaxation
  • Ex-servicemen (with at least 5 years of service): 5 years relaxation
  • Cumulative age relaxation applies to SC/ST/OBC candidates, with a maximum upper age limit of 50 years.

Indian Overseas Bank LBO Eligibility Criteria for Nationality

  • Citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal or Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who came to India before 1st January 1962 with the intention to permanently settle in India.
  • Person of Indian Origin (PIO) who migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, or East African countries (such as Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, etc.) with the intention to settle permanently in India.
  • Candidates from categories (ii), (iii), and (iv) must possess a Certificate of Eligibility issued by the Government of India.

Indian Overseas Bank LBO Eligibility Criteria for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD)

 

Persons with benchmark disabilities are eligible for reservation as per the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016. The disabilities covered under the Act include:

  • Orthopedically Challenged (OC), including - One arm affected (OA), One leg affected (OL), One arm and leg affected (OAL), Both legs affected (BL); Conditions like Cerebral Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, and Leprosy Cured
  • Visual Impairment (VI): Blindness and Low Vision
  • Hearing Impairment (HI): Deaf and Hard of Hearing
  • Intellectual Disability (ID): Autism Spectrum Disorder, Specific Learning Disabilities, and Mental Illness
  • The PwBD candidates must provide a valid disability certificate from a designated authority. Only candidates with benchmark disabilities (i.e., disabilities greater than 40%) are eligible for this category.

 

Indian Overseas Bank LBO Eligibility Criteria for Economically Weaker Section (EWS)

 

Candidates claiming EWS status must fulfill the following criteria:

  • The family's gross annual income must be below ₹8.00 lakh.
  • Income includes salary, business, agriculture, etc. If the family owns assets like agricultural land above 5 acres or residential properties exceeding specified areas, the candidate is not eligible for EWS status.
  • Candidates must submit an Income and Asset Certificate issued by a competent authority as proof of their EWS status.
  • Note: EWS reservations are subject to change based on government directives or any pending litigations.

 

Indian Overseas Bank LBO Eligibility Criteria for Ex-Servicemen

 

  • Ex-servicemen, including those with Emergency Commissioned Officers (ECOs) or Short Service Commissioned Officers (SSCOs) status, are eligible for age relaxation if they have rendered at least 5 years of military service.
  • Candidates who have been discharged from the military due to misconduct or inefficiency are not eligible for age relaxation or the ex-servicemen status for this recruitment.
