The IOB LBO Exam Pattern 2026 is important for candidates preparing for the Local Bank Officer recruitment exam conducted by Indian Overseas Bank (IOB). As per the latest notification, the Online Examination will have 140 objective-type questions for 200 marks, with a total duration of 3 hours. The exam will test candidates on Reasoning and Computer Aptitude, General/Economy/Banking Awareness, Data Analysis and Interpretation, and English Knowledge. Candidates should understand the section-wise marks, time limit, and negative marking before starting their preparation.

 

What is the IOB LBO Exam Pattern 2026?

 

The IOB LBO Online Exam consists of 4 sections and carries a total of 200 marks. There are 140 questions in the exam, and each section has a separate time limit. Candidates will get 3 hours to complete the complete examination. The exam will include objective-type questions, and 0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer. There will be no deduction for questions that are left unanswered.

What is the IOB LBO selection process 2026?

 

The IOB LBO Recruitment 2026 selection process includes the Online Exam, Language Proficiency Test (LPT), wherever applicable, and Personal Interview. Candidates first have to qualify in the Online Exam. Those who are required to appear for the LPT must qualify in the language test before moving ahead in the selection process. Candidates who have already studied the required local language in 10th or 12th standard and can provide valid proof are exempted from the LPT. The stages of the IOB LBO selection process are:

The final selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Online Examination and Personal Interview. The weightage will be 80:20, respectively. The final merit list will be prepared state-wise and category-wise.
