Staff Selection Commission released the official SSC CGL 2023 Notification on 3rd April 2023. The online application procedure has also started today and the last application date is 5th May 2023. SSC CGL 2023 Tier-1 will be held from 14th July 2023 to 27th July 2023. The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) was established in 1975. Application Fees

A payment of Rs 100 has to be made as an application fee by candidates registering to take the SSC CGL exam. Essential Educational Qualifications for various posts include :

All other Posts except Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer and JSO

Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

The candidates who have appeared in the final year of their graduation can also apply, however, they must possess Essential qualifications on or before the cut-off date.

Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer

  • Essential Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant Cost & Management Accountant Company Secretary or Masters in Commerce Master in Business Studies or Master in Business Administration (Finance) or Master in Business Economics.
  • During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify for the "Subordinate  Audit/   Accounts   Service   Examination" in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant  Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer.

Junior Statistical Officer

Bachelor's Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level;

Questions in this component will be aimed at testing the candidates' general awareness of the environment around them and its application to society.

  • Test knowledge of current events and of such matters of everyday observations.

Module-I of Section-III of Paper-I (Computer Proficiency):

  • Computer Basics: Organization of a computer, Central Processing Unit (CPU), input/ output devices, computer memory, memory organization, back- up devices, PORTs, Windows Explorer. Keyboard shortcuts.
  • Software: Windows Operating system including basics of Microsoft Office like MS word, MS Excel and Power Point etc.
  • Working with Internet and e-mails: Web Browsing & Searching, Downloading & Uploading, Managing an E-mail Account, e-Banking.
  • Basics of networking and cyber security: Networking devices and protocols, Network and information security threats (like hacking, virus, worms, Trojans, etc.), and preventive measures.
