SSC MTS Notification 2021-22

Staff Selection Commission of India (SSC), has released the latest SSC MTS 2021-22 Recruitment Notification on 22nd March 2022. As per the Notification PDF, The Staff Selection Commission will hold a competitive examination for recruitment of Multi Tasking Staff (in Pay Level- 1 as per Pay Matrix of 7th Pay Commission), a General Central Service Group ‘C' Non-Gazetted, Non-Ministerial post in various Ministries/ Departments/ Offices of the Government of India, in different States/ Union Territories.

SSC MTS 2021-22 Vacancies

SSC MTS 2021-22 Eligibility Criteria

The eligibility criteria for SSC MTS 2022 is based on the following factors:

Nationality/ Citizenship

A candidate must be either:

  1. a citizen of India, or
  2. a subject of Nepal, or
  3. a subject of Bhutan, or
  4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January,1962, with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
  5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.

Age Limit (As on 01-01-2022)

  1. The age limits for the posts as per the Recruitment Rules of various User Departments are:
  2. 18-25 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1997 and not later than 01-01-2004) for MTS
  3. 18-27 years (i.e. candidates born not before 02-01-1995 and not later than 01-01-2004) for few posts of MTS.

Educational Qualification

The candidates must have passed the Matriculation Examination or equivalent from a recognized Board.

SSC MTS 2021-22 Application Fee

  • Fee payable: Rs. 100/- (Rupees one hundred only).
  • Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes(SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.
  • Fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, Net Banking, by using Visa, Mastercard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit cards or through cash in SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

SSC MTS 2021-22 Selection Process

The SSC MTS selection process is based on the performance of the candidate through the two stages of the recruitment process for SSC MTS and document verification. The three stages of the recruitment process are listed below.

  1. Paper-1(Online exam)
  2. Paper-2(Descriptive exam)
  3. Document Verification

There are 3 stages involved in the SSC MTS recruitment i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2 and document verification. The final mode of selection of candidates for the post of Multi Tasking Staff is based on their performance in SSC MTS Paper 1. SSC MTS Paper 1 is of objective type and acts as a preliminary test. Those who are able to clear the cutoff for Paper 1 will be shortlisted for Paper 2. Only the marks of Paper 1 will be considered in final merit while it is mandatory to qualify the paper-2.
