UP Police Constable Exam Vacancy

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has not yet released vacancies available for the UP Police Constable posts 2021. The vacancy will be announced category-wise for each of the posts under UP Police Constable Posts. 

Based on previous years’ vacancies, the total number of vacancies expected for the UP Police Constable Recruitment will be more than 49000. Eligibility Criteria For Applying For UP Police Constable Recruitment

Candidates fulfilling all the necessary eligibility criteria are eligible to apply for the exam. The Eligibility Criteria to apply for the UP Police Constable Exam are as follows:

• Educational Qualifications 

To apply for the UP Police Constable post, the candidate must have a degree of Higher Secondary Examination from a Recognized Education Board. 

• Age Limit

The minimum of any candidate must be 18. The maximum age for general category male candidates is 22 years and for female candidates is 25 years. However for, Reserved categories candidates, there is an age relaxation of 3 years.

 Candidates can go through  the below-mentioned steps to apply  for the UP Constable Exam:

1. First, go to the official Website of the Uttar Pradesh Recruitment and Promotion Board, Lucknow.
2. Now, search for the  “Notice”  link on the Home Page of the Website.
3. Now under the “Notice” Link, find the “UP Police Constable Exam” link, and click on the same. 
4. A new page will open, and now on that page, fill in the input details as required in the application form. Details shall be cross-checked with spelling mistakes, if any.
5. Now upload scanned and verified copy of passport size photo and copy of signature in JPEG format as per instructions given and click on submit.
6. After filling the application form, candidates can then pay the application fee and make the final submission.
7. Now click and download the same in pdf format and take printouts of the same for use. Make sure that printout is clear.

UP Police Constable Exam Selection Process And Pattern 2021

The selection process of the UP Police Constable is carried out in 4 stages or steps by the UPPRPB. Selection for the next step or stage depends upon the performances made by the candidates appearing in exams and their overall performances in different stages of exams as follows: 

1. Written Exams

• The written exam is the first stage of the selection process 
• The exam is conducted for a total of 300 marks having 150 questions (2 marks for each)
• The subjects under the test cover General Hindi, General Knowledge, Numerical & Mental Ability Test, and Mental Aptitude/Intelligence/Reasoning. 
• There will be a negative marking of 0.25 marks for every wrong answer.
• The Exam will be conducted in both Hindi and English languages.

2. Document Verification

All candidates who qualified for the written exam will be called for the document verification round. Candidates must submit or produce the certificates as uploaded at the time of registration for the UP Police Constable Exam. The documents the candidates need to produce will be of educational qualification, category certificate, etc. Once the candidates provide the required documents and are approved by the selection board, they will be called for the next stage of the selection process. 4. Physical Efficiency Test

In the final stage of the selection of the UP Police Constable Exam, the process Board will check the Physical fitness of the candidates as per the given tasks. Salary Structure Of The UP Police Constable

• Candidates clearing all the stages of selection will be considered eligible for the job and will get the pay as per the 7th  Pay Commission. Same pay under the probation period also.
• Salary package for UP Police Constable per annum under 7th Pay Commission stands at INR 3.6 Lacs to INR 4.8 Lacs. The monthly average salary ranges between INR 30,000 to INR 40,000.
• Allowances like Dearness Allowance (DA), Leave Encashment, Facility House Rent Allowance (HRA), Medical Allowance, Admissibility, Quantum, and Commutation, Travel Allowance (TA), Detachment Allowance, High Altitude Allowance, City Compensatory Allowance will be given.

Job Profile Of UP Police Constable

The candidate getting selected has to perform the below-mentioned duties as UP Police Constable.

• The prime duty is to lodge an FIR (First Information Report).
• Help the senior police officers in the investigation of a case.
• Act as the Patrolling guards at regular intervals.
• To keep watch over the area allotted to them.
• To perform the necessary paperwork in the police station.
• Other duties of a UP Police Constable may include police verification, traffic police duty (if needed), VIP security, etc.

Candidates selected will have to go for a probation period of 2 years. Under a Probation period of 2 years, candidates will be provided with training and gain working knowledge and experiences regarding their job. Pay Scale will be as per the 7th Pay Commission.

After announcing the examination date, the UPPRPB will soon (10 to 15 days before the exam date) release the admit card for UP Police Constable Exam on its official website. Candidates can download the admit card from the official website.

1. The first step is to visit the official website of UPPRPB
