SSC CGL Apply Online – One Time Registration Process (OTR)

The SSC OTR process has been provided below. Candidates who have already registered themselves can skip this step.

Go to the SSC Official Website: Visit the official SSC website or use the provided direct link.
Login or Register: Click on the “Apply” button. New users should click ‘Register Now’.
Click ‘Register Now’: Begin the registration process by clicking the ‘Register Now’ button.
Fill in Required Details: Enter your UID Aadhaar number, name, father’s name, mother’s name, and date of birth twice. Any discrepancies will be highlighted in red.
Verify Using OTPs: Verify your mobile number and email ID using the OTPs sent to you.
Click ‘Save Next’: Your Registration Number will be displayed, and both the Registration Number and Password will be sent to your mobile and email. Complete the registration within 14 days.
Proceed to Login: Click ‘Continue’ to proceed to the login page.
Login Later: To finish later, click ‘Login or Register’ at the top of the website. Use your Registration Number and the password sent to you for the initial login. Create a new password during this first login.
New Password Creation: Create a new password upon your first login. Log in again using the Registration Number and new password.
Enter Personal Details: Fill in additional details such as Category and Nationality. Non-Indian citizens should provide contact details, while Indian citizens should fill in their permanent and current addresses.
Provide Identification Marks and Disability Information: Enter details about any visible identification marks and disabilities, including the Disability Certification Number if applicable.
Read and Submit Declaration: Read the declaration carefully, tick the “I agree” box next to “Preview OTR,” and click on “Declare” to submit your information.
Complete the Application Form: After submitting the declaration, log in using your new Registration Number and password to fill out the SSC CGL Application Form 2024.

SSC CGL Apply Online 2024 – Application Form Fillup Process

Step 1: Go to the Staff Selection Commission’s official website. (https://ssc.gov.in/), Click on Apply Online.

Step 2: Click on Apply Online.

Step 3: If Not registered, click on Register Now.

Step 4: Fill the registration form.

Step 5: Log in to the registered account with the registration number generated during registration and the password set at the same time.

Step 6: Click on Apply and Fill the Required details must be filled in for the application form

Step 7: Upload the scanned documents, including the photograph and signature. Candidates are required to upload a live photograph. Please ensure that you are ready with your laptop camera, phone camera, or webcam.

Step 8: Carefully go through the form that you have filled out before selecting the Final Submit button to submit it.

Step 9: The application fee of Rs 100 needs to be paid after this; the. The process can be either online or offline.

Guidelines for Photograph and Signature Before Filling SSC CGL Application Form

Before proceeding with the SSC CGL Online Application, candidates must ensure they have the following data ready. Follow these guidelines to capture a suitable photograph and prepare other required documents to avoid any issues during the SSC CGL Application Process.

SSC CGL 2024 – Photograph Instructions:

Finding a Good Spot: Select a place with good lighting and a plain background.
Camera Positioning: Ensure the camera is at eye level before taking the photo.
Positioning Yourself: Stand or sit directly in front of the camera, looking straight ahead.
Face Alignment: Make sure your face is fully within the red rectangular area on the screen. Your face should not be too close or too far, and it should completely fill the rectangle without any part outside the boundaries.
Appearance: Do not wear a cap, mask, or glasses/spectacles while capturing the photo.

If you are unable to capture your photo using a camera, use the QR code provided. The photo should be taken without a cap, without spectacles, and with a frontal view of the face.

Note: Applications with photographs that do not comply with these instructions may be rejected.

SSC CGL Application Form Fees 2024

A payment of Rs 100 has to be made as an application fee by candidates registering to take the SSC CGL exam. Online or offline methods using SBI challan or BHIM, UPI or internet banking, credit card or debit card.

However, female candidates and those belonging to reserved categories such as Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD), and Ex-Servicemen (ESM) are exempt from the application fee payment.
