The SSC CGL 2024 Last Date to Apply Online is on 24th July 2024 for 17,727 vacancies through the Staff Selection Commission official website at ssc.gov.in. The SSC CGL Exam Pattern and the Exam Dates 2024 for Tier 1 and Tier 2 have been released along with the SSC CGL 2024 Notification. The Tier 1 Combined Graduate Level Exam 2024 has been scheduled to be held in September and October 2024, and the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam in December 2024.

SSC CGL Exam Pattern

This year, the SSC CGL Notification has been released with a revised SSC CGL Exam Pattern. The SSC CGL Selection Process consists of two tiers: Tier 1 and Tier 2. Every year, the SSC CGL Tier 2 Exam has 3 papers. Paper 1 is common for all, Paper 2 is conducted only for the JSO post, while Paper 3 is for the AAO posts. As this year’s Assistant Audit Officer/Assistant Accounts Officer post vacancies have not been released, the Paper 3 Exam will not be conducted by the SSC. Candidates should note that passing the SSC CGL Tier 1 exam is required to move on to the next stage (Tier 2). However, only the marks scored in the SSC CGL Tier 2 will be used to determine the Final Selection in the SSC CGL 2024 Examination with 17,727 vacancies.

  2. Scoring System: Negative marking of 0.50 marks for each wrong answer.
  3. Qualification Process: Tier-1 Exam is now a qualifying round; Tier-2 Exam determines the final merit list.
  4. Paper 1 Requirements: Candidates must qualify all sections of Paper 1 separately.
