CPT or Computer Proficiency Test

The computer proficiency test or CPT is a test to determine the capability of a candidate in Word Processing, Spreadsheet, and Generation of slides. In CPT, the section on word processing is a typing test. CPT needs to be undertaken in Tier 4 of SSC CGL.

SSC CGL Typing Test Exam Pattern

Candidates have to record 2000 key depressions in 15 minutes. The accuracy level should be maintained at 95 per cent for qualifying this round.

DEST or Data Entry Skill Test

In DEST, Candidates have to record 2000 key depressions in 15 minutes (8000 key depressions per hour). The accuracy level should be maintained at 95 per cent for qualifying this round.

SSC CHSL Typing Test

SSC CHSL Typing Test takes place in Tier 3 of the SSC CHSL Exam. It is qualifying in nature. Candidates must meet the minimum requirements of the test in order to qualify for final selection.

The exam pattern of the SSC CHSL Typing Test is as follows:
