How to Score 70+ in JAIIB RBWM: The Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) exam for JAIIB October 2023 will be on 29th October 2023. Regardless of whether you have cleared IE & IFS, PPB, and AFM, or not, you should now focus on RBWM if this is your first attempt, or if you are clearing it from the previous cycle. How to Score 70+ in JAIIB RBWM – The JAIIB Qualifying Criteria
JAIIB is a promotional exam for bankers. It consists of four papers, and the exam pattern is as follows:

There will be no negative marking for the exam.
Passing Criteria
Now students have a pre-determined score they have to achieve when it comes to the exam. The passing criteria is as follows-
- Score a minimum of 50 marks to pass a subject
OR - Get a total aggregate of 200 marks
OR - Candidates who secure at least 45 marks in each subject with an aggregate of 50% marks in all subjects of the examination in a single attempt will also qualify.
Candidates who may not have qualified for the rest of the papers (if this is your first attempt) should still give RBWM. Qualifying this one paper means next time you’ll only need to give three.
Weightage of Modules in RBWM
The Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM) paper consists of four modules -A, B, C, and D. There is also an additional part in the Macmillan textbook that we’ll refer to as Module E. So here’s how you can prepare for the exam in a way that’ll help you score high
- Focus on Module B. It has the largest weightage of all modules. Make sure to cover each topic thoroughly and practice as many questions as you can
- Next cover Module C and D. This, along with Module B will easily get you over 50 marks.
- Cover Module E after this. If you cover this as well, you can easily land 70+ marks. Of course, this depends on the thoroughness of your preparation and how much practice you have. So cover these 4 (B, C, D, and E) as well as possible.
How to Score 70+ in JAIIB RBWM – Module-wise Preparation
Let’s tackle this one module at a time.
Module A
The first module consists of only four units:
- This is the smallest module of the bunch. Out of this units 1, 3, and 4 are the core of the module and are the ones you should cover.
Module B
The second module consists of twelve units:
- Units 8 and 9 are one of the lengthiest units to prepare.
- In the last cycle, there were 35-40 questions from Module B which makes it very crucial for the examination.
Module C
The Third Module consists of six units:
- Module C is also one of the most important modules. In the last cycle, 20-25 questions were asked from the Module C.
- In this module, you will learn about marketing, working of marketing information systems, working of CRM portals, BF, Physical Branches, etc.
Module D
The fourth module consists of four units:
- This module requires a lot of revision. So, candidates should start making short notes from an early stage which will help them with the revision part.
- Units 23, 24, and 25 are important units of Module D. You should focus more on these units while preparing for the exam.
Module E – Additional Reading Material on Home Loans
This module consists of four units:
- Housing Finance and Tax Planning is the smallest section of this module. Candidates only need to learn theory.
- Unit 29 & 30 consists mostly of the Numerical and the Case Studies.
