Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) has released notification regarding recruitment for RRB NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) and Group D on their official website for hiring the deserving candidate. A total of 35281 vacancies have been announced for the NTPC (Non-Technical Popular Categories) post and 103769 vacancies under Group D posts by RRB, which includes a total of 1386 vacancies under RRB Ranchi NTPC and 4914 vacancies under the RRB Ranchi Group D recruitment. Candidates qualifying the eligibility criteria for the available posts can apply for this recruitment before the end of the last date of submission of application. RRB Ranchi Group D
Candidates getting recruited for the Group D post will get the pay as per 7TH Pay Commission. Pay scales vary as per the post and location of the job. Various perks and allowances are also paid to the Group D post candidate.
The details are as follows:

- Maximum Basic Pay: Rs. 56900

Educational Qualifications: Applicants who are applying for RRB Group D posts must pass 10th or ITI from the institution, which is recognized by NCVT/SCVT or equivalent or National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) granted by NCVT (National Council of Vocational Training).

Interested candidates can follow the below-mentioned steps to apply online for the NTPC and Group D posts:
- Go to the official Website of RRB.
- Find Recruitment Tab/Link under the “Homepage”.
- From the Various Recruitment Link Select “RRB Group D Recruitment”/ “RRB NTPC Recruitment” Link.
- On clicking the link, you will find various Railways zone; select the zone you want to apply to. For RRB Ranchi, select “South Eastern Railway” as Zone.
- Click on” New Registration link” and fill in all the important details like name, e-mail address, contact details, etc.; and click on ‘I agree’.
- An OTP is sent to your Phone number, and the Activation Link will be sent to the e-mail address.
- After the verification of the e-mail address and mobile number, a Registration Number and Password will be sent to your mail.
- Now login with your Registration number and password and provide your educational details, upload the documents like Category certificate, Marksheets etc., as required or asked.
- Verify all the details and click on submit once you verify the complete details.
- Pay the required fees and click on the submit button.
- Download and take a printout of the application form for future reference.

RRB Ranchi Selection Process and Syllabus
RRB Ranchi NTPC selection process comprises four stages, but stages of exams differ for various NTPC posts. They are 1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1), 2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2), 3rd stage is a Typing Skill Test/ Computer Based Aptitude Test (as applicable for the post applied) and the final stage document verification.
1st Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 1)
- CBT is the first stage of the selection process with an MCQ based exam.
- A test is conducted for a total of 100 marks (100 Questions for 1marks each).
- The time allotted for the test is 120 Minutes.
- There is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every attempted wrong answer.
- The test’s subject matter covers General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and Mathematics.

The Computer Based Test 1 exam has been already conducted in various phases, and the result for the same is yet to be declared by the RRB on their official website. Candidates qualifying for Computer Based Exam 1 are eligible for the Computer Based Test 2 exam for the same is going to conduct on 14th to 18th February 2022.
2nd Stage Computer Based Test (CBT 2)
- CBT-2 is the second stage of the selection process with an MCQ based exam.
- A test is conducted for a total of 120 marks (120 Questions for 1marks each).
- The time allotted for the test is 90 Minutes.
- There is a negative marking of 1/3 marks for every attempted wrong answer.
- The subject matter of the test covers General Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and Mathematics.

Marks obtained in this test is not added to make the final merit list, and to qualify for this test candidate must have a typing speed of 30 words per minute (WPM) in English or 25 WPM in Hindi on Personal Computer only without editing tools and spell check facility.
Final Stage Document Verification
Candidates Qualifying category-wise cut off marks of all first two stages, CBT-1 and CBT-2, along with the Typing skill test / Computer Based Aptitude Test (as required to conduct the same for the applied posts), will be called for Document Verification. After proper verification, candidates will be selected for the posts as applied or available.
RRB Ranchi Group D selection process comprises of three stages CBT followed by Physical Examination test and the final stage Document verification/ Medical Test. The tentative date for the CBT for Group D recruitment is 22nd February 2022 onwards.

The result and cut off for RRB Ranchi NTPC or Group D has not yet been released/ declared by the RRB. Within the stipulated time after the declaration of the result official site will publish the cut-off marks for each stage CBT. Candidates can go to the official website and check or download the result and cut off marks details for the same once it is declared by the RRB., and till then, you can refer to the expected cut-off for the same.
