Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia, Union Minister of Communications and Minister for Development of North Eastern Region (DONER) inaugurated Ericsson’s state-of-the-art antenna manufacturing facility at VVDN’s Global Innovation Park in Manesar.
Emphasizing the transformative impact of global technology partnerships on India's telecom sector,
the Union Minister noted that global investments from companies like Ericsson, Apple, Google, and Qualcomm go beyond financial contributions.
The facility, developed in collaboration between Ericsson and VVDN Technologies, is Ericsson’s first to produce passive antennas in India for global markets. Shipments are expected to commence in July 2025.
This facility is one of its kind, where more than 50% of the passive antenna production, built to meet rigorous domestic and international standards, for the domestic market will be localized, reinforcing India’s emergence as a trusted global manufacturing and innovation hub.

India's gold loan market has increased from USD 33 billion in FY19 to USD 83 billion in FY24, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 20 per cent, according to Praxis Global Alliance report.

Two officers, including women officers from each country have embarked on board US Coast Guard Cutter (USCGC) Stratton, which is currently sailing to Guam.
The cross-embarkation mission marks an unprecedented step in QUAD Coast Guard collaboration, enhancing joint readiness, operational coordination, and domain awareness in support of a Free, Open, Inclusive,
and Rules-Based Indo-Pacific. The mission reflects the vision laid out at the QUAD Leaders’ Summit in September 2024 and signifies a deepening of operational ties between the Indian Coast Guard (ICG), Japan Coast Guard (JCG), US Coast Guard (USCG), and Australian Border Force (ABF).

US-parented companies will be exempted from certain elements of an existing global tax agreement according to a statement released by the Group of Seven countires which detailed the new proposal signed by the United States and its G7 partners.
The agreement will see US companies benefit from a "side-by-side" solution under which they will only be taxed at home, on both domestic and foreign profits, the G-7 said, in a statement released by Canada, which holds the group's rotating presidency.
Earlier this year the US Secretary of the Treasury outlined the United States' concerns regarding the Pillar 2 rules agreed by the OECD/G20 Inclusive Framework on BEPS and set out a proposed 'side-by-side' solution under which US parented groups would be exempt from the Income Inclusion Rule (IIR) and,
Undertaxed Profits Rule (UTPR) in recognition of the existing US minimum tax rules to which they are subject.
The side-by-side system could "provide greater stability and certainty in the international tax system moving forward, including a constructive dialogue on the taxation of the digital economy and on preserving the tax sovereignty of all countries.
Air Marshal S Sivakumar VSM assumed the appointment of Air Officer-in-Charge Administration (AOA) at Air HQ, New Delhi on 01 Jul 25.
The Air Marshal was commissioned in Administration branch of the Indian Air Force in June 1990. He holds an MBA in HRM from Pondicherry University and an M Phil degree in Defence and Strategic Studies from Osmania University.

Before assuming the present appointment, the Air Marshal was Director General (Administration) at Air HQ.
The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi approved the the National Sports Policy (NSP) 2025, a landmark initiative aimed at reshaping the country’s sporting landscape and empowering citizens through sports.
The new policy supersedes the existing National Sports Policy, 2001, and lays out a visionary and strategic roadmap,
to establish India as a global sporting powerhouse and a strong contender for excellence at international sporting events, including the 2036 Olympic Games.
The NSP 2025 is the outcome of extensive consultations involving Central Ministries, NITI Aayog, State Governments, National Sports Federations (NSFs), athletes, domain experts, and public stakeholders.
In a transformative step to bolster India’s research and innovation ecosystem, the Union Cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi, has today approved the Research Development and Innovation (RDI) Scheme with a corpus of Rs. One lakh Crore.
Recognizing the critical role that the private sector plays in driving innovation and commercializing research the RDI Scheme aims to provide long-term financing or refinancing with long tenors at low or nil interest rates to spur private sector investment in RDI.
The scheme has been designed to overcome the constraints and challenges in funding of private sector and seeks to provide growth & risk capital to sunrise and strategic sectors to facilitate innovation, promote adoption of technology and enhance competitiveness.
Key objectives of the Scheme are as follows:
a) Encourage the private sector to scale up research, development, and innovation (RDI) in sunrise domains and in other sectors relevant for economic security, strategic purpose, and self-reliance;
b) Finance transformative projects at higher levels of Technology Readiness Levels (TRL)
c) Support acquisition of technologies which are critical or of high strategic importance;
d) Facilitate setting up of a Deep-Tech Fund of Funds.
The Governing Board of Anusandhan National Research Foundation (ANRF), chaired by the Prime Minister, will provide overarching strategic direction to the RDI Scheme.
The Executive Council (EC) of ANRF will approve the Scheme’s guidelines, and recommend 2nd level fund managers and scope and type of projects in sunrise sectors. An Empowered Group of Secretaries (EGoS) led by the Cabinet Secretary, will be responsible for approving scheme changes, sectors and types of projects as well as,
second-level fund managers besides reviewing the performance of the Scheme. The Department of Science and Technology will serve as the nodal department for implementation of RDI Scheme.
The RDI Scheme will have a two-tiered funding mechanism. At the first level, there will be a Special Purpose Fund (SPF) established within the ANRF, which will act as the custodian of fund.
From the SPF funds shall be allocated to a variety of 2nd level fund managers. This will be mainly in the form of long-term concessional loans. The funding to R&D projects by the 2nd level fund managers would normally be in the form of long-term loan at low or nil interest rates. Financing in the form of equity may also be done, especially in case of startups.
The Union Cabinet chaired by the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi, has approved the Employment Linked Incentive (ELI) Scheme to support employment generation, enhance employability and social security across all sectors, with special focus on the manufacturing sector.
The Union Cabinet has approved construction of 4-Lane Paramakudi - Ramanathapuram Section (46.7 km) in Tamilnadu. The project will be developed on Hybrid Annuity Mode (HAM) at a total capital cost of Rs.1,853 crore.
Currently, connectivity between Madurai, Paramakudi, Ramanathapuram, Mandapam, Rameshwaram, and Dhanushkodi is dependent on existing 2-lane National Highway 87
(NH-87) and associated State Highways, which experience significant congestion due to high traffic volumes, especially in densely populated stretches and key towns along the corridor. To address these challenges, the project will upgrade approximately 46.7 km of NH-87 from Paramakudi to Ramanathapuram to a 4-lane configuration.
This will decongest the existing corridor, improve safety, and cater to the mobility needs of rapidly growing towns such as Paramakudi, Sathirakudi, Achundanvayal and Ramanathapuram.

It is a comprehensive, all-in-one application with a user-friendly interface. The app is available for download on Android Play Store and iOS App Store. It integrates all the passenger services such as:

● Live train tracking
● Grievance redressal
● E-catering, porter booking & last-mile taxi
Reserved tickets will continue to be offered on IRCTC. RailOne app has also been authorised by IRCTC just like many other commercial apps who have partnered with IRCTC.
RailOne features a single-sign-on with login via mPIN or biometric. It also supports existing RailConnect & UTS credentials. The app is space-saving, as there is no need to install multiple apps.
