The Government of India and Asian Development Bank (ADB) signed a $200 million loan as additional financing for the ongoing Rajasthan Secondary Towns Development Sector Project to expand water supply and sanitation systems and enhance urban resilience and heritage living in selected towns.

Global Tiger Day, commonly referred to as International Tiger Day, was first established in 2010 during the Saint Petersburg Tiger Summit by nations that are home to tigers. The Global Tiger Initiative, a grouping of nations, international organisations, and conservation organisations committed to tiger conservation, organised the summit, which took place in St. Petersburg.
The Government of India and Asian Development Bank signed a 295 million dollar loan agreement to upgrade around 265 kilometer State highways in Bihar. It supports the government of Bihar’s programme to upgrade all State highways to standard two-lane widths and improve road safety. The improved roads will enhance connectivity in some of Bihar's poorest rural districts.

Indian Naval Ship ‘Khanjar,’ an indigenous Khukri class Missile Corvette will visit Trincomalee from the 29th of July. During the ship’s three-day visit, the Commanding Officer, will meet with the Commander of the Eastern Naval Area to enhance professional ties. The ship will conduct interactions on special operations such as Visit-Board-Search and Seizure, Gunnery.
The product basket of Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana has increased to 1,800 medicines and 285 Surgical equipment. These products are available at 50 to 90 percent lower prices compared to the market. Comprehensive measures taken by the government and Reserve Bank of india (RBI) to recover and reduce NPAs, including those pertaining to corporate companies, have enabled an aggregate recovery of Rs 10.16 trillion by Scheduled Commercial Banks (SCBs) during the last nine financial years ending 2022-23, the finance ministry said.

The Reserve Bank of India’s Digital Payments Index, a measure of the extent of digitisation of payments across the country, rose to 395.57 in March 2023 from 377.46 in September 2022 and 349.30 in March 2022. The RBI introduced the composite Digital Payments Index in January 2021 with March 2018 as the base, to capture digitisation of payments.
HDFC Bank and Swiggy have jointly launched a co-branded credit card, the lender said in a release. The move marks Swiggy's entry into the credit card space, and the card will operate on Mastercard's payment network. With this new credit card, users will get benefits like 10 percent cashback on their Swiggy spends, covering food delivery, grocery delivery and dining out.
In a bid to develop the corporate debt market and instill confidence among investors, market regulator SEBI has put in place a framework for rolling out the Corporate Debt Market Development Fund (CDMDF) under which mutual funds will have to contribute 25 basis points (bps) of the specified debt asset under management to the fund.
