Unilever CEO Hein Schumacher to step down, Fernando Fernandez to take the charge

Unilever said Hein Schumacher will step down as CEO and be replaced by finance chief Fernando Fernandez.

Schumacher, who joined in July 2023, will step down as CEO in March and will leave the company on May 31, the consumer goods giant said.

Srinivas Phatak, currently Unilever's deputy chief financial officer and group controller, will become acting CFO, it said.

depending upon the capacity of the bidders in handling the capital market transactions. The empanelment category would be 'A+' for a transaction size of Rs 2,500 crore or more, and 'A' for transaction size of less than Rs 2,500 crore.

Among the empanelled merchant bankers, DIPAM may select one or more bankers for a specific transaction, depending on the requirement.

Sebi imposes Rs 5.05 crore penalty on Indian Clearing Corporation.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) imposed a total penalty of Rs 5.05 crore on Indian Clearing Corporation (ICCL), a wholly owned subsidiary of BSE, for alleged violations of cyber security and system audit-related norms.

The market regulator conducted an inspection between December 2022 and July 2023, following which it sent the show-cause notice in October.

Sebi's findings showed that ICCL had submitted the network auditor report to the regulator without any management or board comments.

The norms prescribe that the audit report, along with the management’s comments, be placed before the governing board of the market infrastructure institutions.
