Fitch Ratings has trimmed India’s GDP growth forecast for FY25 by 10 basis points to 6.2 per cent, citing a worsening global economic environment caused by the escalating trade tensions between the US and China. The rating agency also cut its FY26 forecast to 6.4 per cent (from 6.5 per cent) and pegged FY27 growth at 6.3 per cent.
