Union Minister Virendra Kumar launches PM-Daksh portal, PM Daksh mobile app to promote skill development

Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment Dr. Virendra Kumar launched ‘PM-DAKSH’ Portal and Mobile App, developed by the Ministry, in collaboration with NeGD, to make the skill development schemes accessible to the target groups. Through these portal and app the youth of the target groups will now be able to avail the benefits of skill development training programmes

The ‘golden throw’ of 87.58 m by Neeraj Chopra earns a historical gold for India

Neeraj Chopra has won a historical gold medal in the men's javelin throw at Tokyo 2020 Olympic with a throw of 87.58 m. And With this, the 23-year-old has become the first Indian athlete to win a gold medal in track and field events. Chopra finished on the top spot in the qualification rounds with a stunning throw of 86.65 m.

Centre introduces bill to scrap retrospective tax law

Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman introduced The Taxation Laws (Amendment) Bill, 2021 in the Lok Sabha that finally puts an end to the government’s pursuit of taxing indirect transfers through retrospective amendments. The Bill proposes to relax this retrospective tax impact for income arising from indirect transfer of Indian assets undertaken before 28 May 2012.

Govt cuts Mudra loans target in FY22, rules out fresh PSB merger proposal

The government has set the loans disbursement target under the PM Mudra Yojana (PMMY) at Rs 3 trillion for the current financial year as compared to Rs 3.21 trillion sanctioned in FY21.

Out of the Rs 3.21 trillion worth loans sanctioned under the PMMY in the last financial year, Rs 3.12 trillion were disbursed to entrepreneurs.
