The 22nd NAeG 2025 awardees in six categories include the Gram Panchayats category for the first time, recognising deepening and widening of service delivery at grassroots level through digitization.

Government Restores RoDTEP Benefits for AA, SEZ, and EOU Exports

The Government of India has announced the restoration of benefits under the Remission of Duties and Taxes on Exported Products (RoDTEP) scheme for exports made by Advance Authorization (AA) holders, Export-Oriented Units (EOUs), and units operating in Special Economic Zones (SEZs). The benefits will be applicable for all eligible exports made from 1st June 2025 onwards.

Operational since 1st January 2021, the RoDTEP scheme is designed to reimburse exporters for embedded duties, taxes, and levies that are not otherwise refunded under any other existing scheme. It is compliant with World Trade Organization (WTO) norms and is implemented via a comprehensive end-to-end digital platform to ensure transparency and efficiency.

As of 31st March 2025, total disbursements under the RoDTEP scheme have crossed Rs. 57,976.78 crore, underscoring its significant role in supporting India's merchandise exports.

For the Financial Year 2025–26, the Government has allocated Rs. 18,233 crore under the scheme.

Coal Imports During FY 2024-25 Drops by 7.9 % Compared to FY 2023-24

Coal imports in the country during FY 2024-25 fell by 7.9 %, totalling 243.62 million tonnes (MT), compared to 264.53 MT in the previous fiscal year. This reduction resulted in foreign exchange savings of approximately $7.93 billion (₹60681.67 crore).

Jio BlackRock AMC gets Sebi approval, names Sid Swaminathan as CEO

Jio BlackRock Asset Management (AMC) has received the final approval from the Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) to start a mutual fund (MF) business, the company said.

The approval to the 50:50 joint venture between Jio Financial Services (JFS) and BlackRock takes the number of players in the ₹70-trillion MF industry to 48.
