National Securities Depository (NSDL) and Central Depository Services (CDSL), in collaboration with capital market regulator Sebi, have launched the Unified Investor App (UIP), integrating MyEasi by CDSL and SPEED-e by NSDL.
This platform provides investors with a consolidated view of their financial statements, shareholdings, and investments, and financial statements.
A key benefit of this initiative is the ability to access a consolidated view of demat securities across both NSDL and CDSL accounts. Investors no longer need to juggle between different platforms to monitor their holdings. This not only simplifies portfolio management but also ensures greater transparency by providing a unified dashboard for all securities.
The platform also tackles major challenges by eliminating fraudulent intermediaries through direct data sourcing from exchanges, depositories, and clearing corporations. This ensures that investors receive information from the most reliable sources, significantly reducing the risk of fraud and unauthorised intervention-- longstanding concerns in the investment landscape.
Fintech firm MobiKwik announced it will acquire a 3.39 percent stake in business-to-business (B2B) banking infrastructure platform Blostem for Rs.1.49 crore.
The aggregate shareholding of the Gurugram-based listed firm in the platform is expected to grow to 6.79 percent after the deal.
MobiKwik had entered into a share subscription and shareholders’ agreement with Blostem in March. It agreed to invest Rs. 3 crore in two tranches as part of its investment to acquire equity in the B2B platform.
The first tranche of Rs. 1.5 crore was paid in March for 3.4 percent of the fully diluted paid-up capital of Blostem.
Founded in 2021, Blostem specialises in fixed deposit (FD) aggregation as its core offering. The company has built partnerships with multiple banks and non-banking financial companies (NBFCs). For the year-ended March 2024, the company posted a revenue of Rs. 30.76 lakh.

At 58, Joshi is one of the youngest members to be a part of the poll panel.
According to the law governing the appointment of CEC and ECs,
the chief election commissioner and other election commissioners will hold office for a term of six years from the date on which they assume office or till they attain the age of 65 years, "whichever is earlier".
While CEC Gyanesh Kumar will demit office on January 26, 2029, the other election commissioner, Sukhbir Singh Sandhu will retire in July 2028.

India and Bangladesh have decided to establish a new communication link between the deputy commanders of their respective border-guarding forces and identified about 99 fresh patches for erecting a fence along their shared border.
The decisions were finalised during the biannual director general-level talks between the Border Security Force (BSF) and,
the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB).

Currently, "hotlines" or links of communication exist between the two force chiefs and officers in the ranks of inspector general (regional commander for the BGB),
deputy inspector general (sector commander for the BGB) and other field-level officers.
These communication lines are used to convey real-time information and intelligence so that issues related to the front and instances of cross-border crimes can be checked promptly.
India has been ranked as the second-least favoured market in the Asia Pacific region, according to the latest fund manager survey by BofA Global Research. The survey reveals that allocations to Indian equities have dropped to their lowest level in two years.
Japan remains the clear favourite in the region, followed by Taiwan. India and Thailand are placed at the bottom.
Allocations to China rebounded after plummeting to near-survey lows last month.
Fund managers are overweight on Japan, Taiwan, China, and Singapore, while the biggest underweights are in Thailand, followed by India and Australia.
The survey, conducted between February 7 and 13, included 205 panellists managing $482 billion in assets.
The BofA survey indicated a notable improvement in sentiment towards China.
While investors remain cautious about China’s economy, they are increasingly embracing risks, particularly in the AI and semiconductor sectors, which have reached a survey high.
