Geetika Srivastava becomes India's First Woman Charge d'Affaires In Pakistan

Geetika Srivastava, currently serving in the Indo-Pacific division of the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), will be the new chargé d'affaires at its High Commission in Islamabad, becoming the first woman to hold that post. She will succeed Dr M Suresh Kumar.

The Indian & Pakistani missions in Islamabad and New Delhi have been without High Commissioners since August 2019.

Bandhan Bank authorised by RBI to serve as pension disbursement bank

Bandhan Bank has been appointed by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) as an authorised pension disbursement bank on behalf of the Central Pension Accounting Office (CPAO), Ministry of Finance, for civil pensioners.

The Bank will soon be integrating with the office of the CPAO to operationalise the disbursement process

Renewable energy company ACME Group has partnered with Tata Steel Special Economic Zone Ltd. (TSSEZL) to establish a green hydrogen and green ammonia project at the Gopalpur Industrial Park (GIP) in Odisha.

This project will be India's largest manufacturing facility for green hydrogen and its derivatives in the country, according to TSSEZ

Centre To Extend PLI Scheme For Automotive Sector By One Year Until FY28

The government has decided to extend the Rs 25,938-crore production-linked incentive scheme for the automotive sector by one year, Union Heavy Industries Minister Mahendra Nath Pandey said.

Post extension, the five-year scheme, originally in place from 2022-23 to 2026-27, will be active until 2027-28.

ADB, Fourth Partner Energy to Build Solar Power Plant in India, Supplying Commercial and Industrial Sector

The Asian Development Bank (ADB) has agreed to provide a loan of Rs1.2bn ($14.7m) to the Indian renewable energy solutions platform Fourth Partner Energy for the construction of a solar power facility in India.

The 25MW facility will be built in the Tirunelveli district in the state of Tamil Nadu and will generate 50.7 gigawatt-hours of clean energy per year.

Minimum issue size for non-profits at SSEs may be cut by a half

The Securities and Exchange Board India (SEBI) has proposed to reduce the minimum issue size for non-profit organisations (NPOs) on social stock exchanges (SSEs) by 50%, and application size by 95% to facilitate more fundraising.

At present, the minimum issue size for NPOs issuing Zero Coupon Zero Principle (ZCZP) instruments is Rs 1 crore, which is deemed to be high.
