The third edition of the Bharat Mobility Global Expo (BMGE) is scheduled to be held from 4th to 9th February 2027 in the National Capital Region of Delhi. The event aims to bring together various stakeholders from across the mobility spectrum, including industry representatives, policymakers, and technology experts.
Organised with the support of the Ministry of Commerce & Industry and the Ministry of Heavy Industries, BMGE has evolved as a comprehensive platform for showcasing developments across the automotive and mobility value chain.
The first two editions, held in 2024 and 2025, drew participation from a wide cross-section of the industry and focused on themes such as clean mobility, innovation, and integration with global supply chains.
The 2025 edition covered 2 lakh square metres across three venues—Bharat Mandapam, Yashobhoomi, and India Expo Centre & Mart, Greater Noida—
and recorded participation from over 1500 exhibitors. More than 9.8 lakh visitors attended the event, which included product launches, technology showcases, conferences, buyer-seller meets, and international delegations.
In keeping with the format of earlier editions, BMGE 2027 will include exhibitions, technical sessions, and stakeholder consultations.
In addition, new segments are being considered to broaden the scope of the Expo. These include a dedicated section on “Multi-Modal Mobility and Logistics” encompassing rail, road, air, water, urban and rural mobility, and a showcase focused on tractors and agricultural mobility solutions.
NITI Aayog released its report "Chemical Industry: Powering India’s Participation in Global Value Chains". This report offers an extensive analysis of India’s chemical sector, highlighting both opportunities and challenges, and outlining a pathway for positioning India as a key player in global chemical markets.
The global chemical industry is undergoing a major transformation, driven by shifting supply chains, demand for specialty and green chemicals, and heightened focus on innovation and sustainability. India’s chemical sector, while significant in size and GDP contribution, remains fragmented and constrained by infrastructure gaps, regulatory inefficiencies,
and low R&D intensity. India’s 3.5% share in global chemical value chains and its chemical trade deficit at USD 31 billion in 2023, underscores its high dependence on imported feedstock and specialty chemicals.
The ISRO transferred 10 technologies, including two inertial sensors to reduce import dependence, to six Indian industries for commercial use in space and other sectors, India's space sector promoter said.
The transfer of technology was facilitated by the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorization Centre (IN-SPACe).
Technologies of two advanced inertial sensors - the Laser Gyroscope and the Ceramic Servo Accelerometer - developed by the ISRO's Inertial Systems Unit were transferred to Hyderabad-based Zetatek Technologies Pvt. Ltd, making it the first company to get the niche technology.
In the midstream segment, three technologies related to ground station operations - S/X/Ka tri-band dual circular polarised monopulse feed, tri-axis antenna control servo system, and Ku/C/L and S Band Cassegrain feed - developed by the ISRO - have been transferred to Avantel and Jisnu Communications,
both Hyderabad-based firms specialising in end-to-end communications solutions for space and defence platforms.
These technologies, currently sourced from foreign vendors, will enable self-reliance in critical ground station infrastructure.
The tripartite Technology Transfer Agreements (TTAs) were signed between NewSpace India Limited (NSIL), the recipient industries,
and IN-SPACe at the IN-SPACe headquarters in Ahmedabad.
On the downstream front, two geospatial models developed by SAC/ISRO for pest forewarning and semi-physical crop yield estimation were transferred to Amnex Info Technologies, Ahmedabad, to be deployed in agricultural decision-making and crop protection.
A compact, multi-parameter, portable bathymetry system developed by NRSC/ISRO has been transferred to Jalkruti Water Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Ahmedabad, to enable UAV-based integration for water resource monitoring.
VSSC/ISRO's ceramic-based flame-proof coating technology - originally developed for launch vehicle applications - has been acquired by Ramdev Chemicals, Ahmedabad.
Airports in Bhopal, Khajuraho, and Udaipur have secured the highest rank in a nationwide customer satisfaction survey conducted by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) for the January–June 2025 period.
According to AAI, these three airports each received a perfect score of 5 out of 5 in the survey, which covered 60 of the 62 operational AAI-managed airports.
The Bhopal and Khajuraho airports in Madhya Pradesh, along with Rajasthan’s Udaipur airport, emerged as top performers in terms of passenger satisfaction. Officials said the ranking is based on direct feedback from passengers during the six-month period.
Assam’s Rupsi Airport recorded the lowest customer satisfaction score, with a rating of 2.65.
Khajuraho Airport, located in Chhatarpur district, serves a significant number of foreign tourists visiting the region's renowned temple complexes. Its inclusion in the top three suggests a growing improvement in service quality even in smaller Indian cities, frequent travellers observed.
The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) reported a 7.8 per cent year-on-year surge in Aadhaar authentication transactions to 229.33 crore in June 2025.
With this, the cumulative number of Aadhaar authentication transactions, since inception, has crossed 15,452 crore, according to an official release.
"Aadhaar number holders carried out 229.33 crore authentication transactions in June 2025, more than the previous month this year as well as the corresponding month in the previous fiscal. The June 2025 authentication transactions are nearly 7.8 per cent more than such transactions recorded in June 2024," it said.
Over 39.47 crore e-KYC transactions were carried out during the month.
AI/ML-based Aadhaar Face Authentication solutions, developed in-house by UIDAI, also witnessed growth. As many as 15.87 crore face authentication transactions were recorded in June 2025 against 4.61 crore such transactions in June 2024.
Russia became the first country to formally recognise the Taliban's government in Afghanistan since it seized power in 2021, after Moscow removed the group from its list of outlawed organisations.
The Russian Foreign Ministry announced that it had received credentials from Afghanistan's newly appointed Ambassador Gul Hassan Hassan.
The official recognition of the Afghan government will foster “productive bilateral cooperation between our countries,” the Ministry said in a statement.

The Indore Municipal Corporation (IMC) in Madhya Pradesh has launched a digital house address project, with officials claiming it to be the first such initiative in the country.
The project involves the installation of special digital plates with unique QR codes outside every house in the city, the officials said.
It was launched on a pilot basis from ward number 82 in Sudama Nagar area.
The project aims to empower 'smart' administration by connecting citizen services with digital technology, an official said.
Necessary changes will be made in the digital address project based on the people's suggestions, he added.
Liverpool's Portuguese forward Diogo Jota has died in a car crash near Zamora, in northwestern Spain, police said. He was 28. Jota, born in Porto, began his football journey through the youth ranks of Pacos de Ferreira before earning a move to Atletico Madrid in 2016. Immediately after joining the Spanish club, he returned home to join FC Porto for a season-long loan spell,

Fintech firm Slice has launched what it claims to be India’s first UPI-powered physical bank branch in Bengaluru's Koramangala, offering a fully digital banking experience with facilities like UPI-integrated ATMs, instant account opening, and cash transactions without the use of debit cards.
The branch, located on 80 Feet Road, an area closely associated with Bengaluru's startup activity, allows customers to deposit and withdraw cash using UPI instead of traditional cards. The setup includes digital kiosks, where customers can open savings accounts using tablets, and a robot that helps guide users within the premises.
Slice has also rolled out a UPI-linked credit card, which comes with no annual or joining fees, and allows users to make payments through QR codes by drawing directly from their credit line. The card offers up to 3% cashback on purchases and a ‘slice in 3’ feature that enables splitting payments into three interest-free instalments.

The Reserve Bank of India (RBl) has, order dated June 30, 2025, imposed a monetary penalty of ₹4.00 lakh on Shree Chhani Nagarik Sahakari Bank Limited, Vadodara, Gujarat (the bank) for non-compliance with certain directions issued by RBI on ‘Know Your Customer (KYC)’, ‘Customer Protection - Limiting Liability of Customers of Co-operative Banks (UCBs) – A Graded Approach'.
The number of people joining stock markets are surging continuously in India, now Gujarat has become the third Indian state to cross the 1-crore mark in registered investors, according to the latest data released by the National Stock Exchange (NSE).
The NSE said, "In a significant milestone, Gujarat became the third state to cross the 1-crore investor registrations mark, joining Maharashtra and Uttar Pradesh".
Together, these three states account for 36 per cent of the total investor base in the country, underlining their significant role in shaping India's growing equity participation.
As of May 2025, the NSE data highlighted that the total number of registered investors in India has reached close to 11.5 crore.
Region-wise, North India continues to lead with 4.2 crore registered investors, followed by West India at 3.5 crore. South India has 2.4 crore investors while East India has 1.4 crore.
Notably, North and East India have shown the most impressive growth over the past 12 months, with increases of 24 per cent and 23 per cent respectively. South India followed with a 22 per cent rise, while West India saw a 17 per cent increase during the same period.
