The Competition Commission of India has approved the proposed combination involving acquisition of SML Isuzu Limited by Mahindra and Mahindra Limited.
The proposed combination relates to acquisition of SML Isuzu Limited (Target) by Mahindra and Mahindra Limited (Acquirer).
The Acquirer is the flagship company of the Mahindra group, which is a leading Indian federation of companies with diversified interests across various sectors of economic significance including automotive, farm equipment, agricultural products and services, smaller range power generation equipment, financial services, information technology, logistics, alternative energy,
aerospace, steel processing, trading, insurance broking, real estate and infrastructure, and hospitality.
The Target is engaged in the business of manufacture and sale of commercial vehicles (“CVs”).

by Delhivery Limited (Delhivery).
Delhivery is a publicly listed Indian company. It is an integrated logistics player and provides a full-range of logistics services, including express parcel delivery, heavy goods delivery, full truckload freight, part-truckload freight, warehousing and supply chain services
(including supply chain software solutions and value-added services), and cross border express services. Delhivery operates through a network of domestic and global partners and has made investments in automation, self-developed logistics technology and in data intelligence capabilities.
India's market borrowing program has seen a stable and orderly evolution in recent years, with net borrowings remaining under control despite the country's growing economic needs.
Data from a report by SBI showed that the government is actively managing its debt through various instruments while adhering to fiscal discipline under the FRBM Act.
As per the data, gross market borrowing through government securities (G-secs) is estimated at Rs 14.8 lakh crore in the Budget Estimates for FY26, while net borrowing is projected at Rs 11.5 lakh crore.
So far in FY26, the government has raised Rs 3.2 lakh crore as gross borrowing, and Rs 2.4 lakh crore as net borrowing.
The Ministry of Communications has said that central government employees joining after July 2025 will no longer be eligible for the full annual dress allowance. Instead, they will receive it on a proportionate basis under the 7th Pay Commission.
According to an Office Memorandum (OM) issued by the Ministry of Finance dated August 2017, uniform allowance also subsumes clothing allowance, initial equipment allowance, kit maintenance allowance, robe allowance, shoe allowance, and more.
According to the revised policy, newly-appointed officials joining after July 2025 will receive dress allowance on a proportionate basis, rather than the full annual amount. The proportionate Dress Allowance will be calculated using the formula:
(Annual Allowance ÷ 12) × Number of months from joining till June of the following year.
Guidelines for retiring officials
For employees retiring after July 2025, the department has sought clarification from the Ministry of Finance. Until such clarification is received, the existing provisions of the March 5, 2020, order will continue to be followed.
Under the current rules, employees retiring after December of the calendar year are eligible for full dress allowance. Those retiring by December will receive half of the dress allowance.
The circular stated, "Person retiring after December of the calendar year shall be eligible for full Dress Allowance.
Those retiring by December in the calendar year shall be eligible for half of the Dress Allowance."

With more than three months left before the Reserve Bank of India's (RBI) September 30, 2025 deadline requiring that 75% of ATMs dispense Rs. 100 or Rs. 200 denomination notes from at least one cassette, banks have already achieved 73%.
Exclusive data from CMS Infosystems, which manages 73,000 of the country's 215,000 ATMs, reveals that the share of ATMs dispensing low-denomination notes has grown from 65% at the end of December 2024 to 73% within the CMS ATM network.
"With 60% of consumer expenditure still anchored in cash, enabling availability of ₹100 and ₹200 notes directly addresses day-to-day transactional needs, especially in semi-urban and rural markets," said Anush Raghavan, president, cash management, CMS Info Systems.
"At CMS, we have seen the share of ATMs dispensing these denominations rise from 65% to 73% across our 73,000 ATM network in a year, signaling a strong alignment between regulatory intent and consumer behaviour."
The RBI had instructed banks at the end of April this year to ensure ATMs dispense Rs. 100 or Rs. 200 notes to improve their accessibility to the public.
According to the directive, by September 30, 2025, 75% of all ATMs should dispense either ₹100 or ₹200 banknotes from at least one cassette. Further, by March 31, 2026, this percentage will rise to 90%.
The Reserve Bank approved the extension of the term of Sandeep Batra as executive director (ED) of ICICI Bank for two years.
RBI has, vide its letter dated June 16, 2025, approved the re-appointment of Batra as ED of the bank from December 23, 2025, to December 22, 2027, ICICI Bank said in a regulatory filing.
Batra has been responsible for Corporate Centre since July 2018. He is responsible for Corporate Communications, Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Customer Service & Secretarial Groups.
He is also administratively responsible for risk function, internal audit and compliance groups, as per the ICICI Bank annual report for FY24.

Sustainable gastronomy, therefore, means cuisine that takes into account where the ingredients are from, how the food is grown and how it gets to our markets and eventually to our plates.
The decision acknowledges gastronomy as a cultural expression related to the natural and cultural diversity of the world.

Meta Platforms said it has appointed Arun Srinivas as managing director and head for India, effective 1 July 2025. Srinivas currently serves as the director and head of the ads business for Meta India, a role he has held since 2022.
In his current position, Srinivas has been responsible for business strategy and revenue growth across all Meta platforms in India,
with a focus on strategic priorities such as artificial intelligence, Reels, and Messaging. He is also a member of the India leadership team.
