The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has announced a new Aadhaar mobile application for iOS and Android devices. The authority has announced an early access that will allow residents to test the service and share feedback before its final rollout. The rate of unemployment for those aged 15 and above remained steady at 5.2 percent in October, according to a government survey.

The unemployment rate (UR) was 5.2 percent in September, 5.1 percent in August, 5.2 percent in July and 5.6 percent in May and June, as per Periodic Labour Force Survey (PLFS) released by the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation.
